Worship Arts
Why we sing
We're not up there to perform.
We believe the worship arts are a vital part of the ministry of this church. Music is the largest part of that, though not all of it.
The team on the platform is there to lead, not to put on a show. The job is to help the room turn its attention to God and to set the stage for the preaching of His Word.
Worship is also bigger than Sunday morning. It is a way of living, of enjoying God and giving ourselves to His purposes through the week. What happens in this room is meant to carry into the rest of it.
Many styles, one church
Hymns and new songs, in the same room.
Our church family runs from small children to seniors, and the music reflects that. On a given Sunday you might hear a hymn led from the piano, a contemporary worship song with a full band, or both in the same service.
We are not trying to settle on a single sound. We look for the strengths in traditional and contemporary forms alike, and we want a worship experience that a wide range of musical tastes can enter into. Biblical unity matters more to us than cultural uniformity. God can be worshipped in the context of any Christ-exalting style.
Music leads both Sunday morning services.
More than music
There's more than one way in.
A service doesn't happen without the people at the sound board and the projector. If music isn't your gift, there is still a place for you here.

Come and serve
You don't need to be a professional musician.
What matters more is a heart for worship, a willingness to practise, and a commitment to this church family. If you can hold your own in a rehearsal, we'd like to hear from you.
Before you join a Sunday service we'll invite you to sit in on one or more Saturday rehearsals. That gives everyone a chance to play together and get to know one another.
What we ask
- A monthly Saturday rehearsal with the team
- Pre-service practice on the Sundays you're scheduled
- Time to prepare your own heart before you help lead
