A safe place for your child on a Sunday morning

Bringing your child somewhere new takes trust. Here is exactly what happens, so you know before you arrive.

Register once, and your child is set for every children’s program.

Two minutes, and it means we have what we need on file: allergies, who is allowed to collect your child, and how to reach you. Registering once covers the nursery and Kids Church.

Sunday mornings

Nursery, age three and under

The nursery opens ten minutes before the service. Check in at the nursery entrance and you will be given a buzzer, so we can reach you straight away if your child needs you. Children stay in the nursery until you collect them.

Kids Church, age four to grade five

Kids start the service with their families in the sanctuary. Partway through, they are dismissed to Kids Church with their leaders, and it runs until the end of the service.

There are two groups: age four to grade two, and grades three to five.

Kids are called up at the front before they head out to Kids Church.

Check-in and safety

Only the adult named at check-in can collect your child. That applies to the nursery and to Kids Church.

All Kids Ministry volunteers are approved and hold current record checks, in line with our Child and Youth Protection Plan.

We do not publish which room your child will be in. You will be shown on the day at check-in, and there is always someone there to point you in the right direction.

Who looks after your child

Hi there. I’m Pastor Josh, the Kids Ministry leader here. Our team of leaders is excited to love your family and make disciples, helping kids discover their value as image-bearers of God, pursue spiritual growth as they become more like Jesus, and learn prayer as the way they can talk with their Heavenly Father today.

That is what makes Kids Ministry so important to us. We’re glad you’re here.

What they are learning

We use The Gospel Project from Lifeway. It works through the whole story of the Bible over several years, at a level each group can take in.

Three things we come back to every week: that your child is valued as an image-bearer of God, that they can grow to become more like Jesus, and that prayer is how they talk with their Heavenly Father.
